Cooling Gel wrap, neck cooler, bandanas. Cooling neck wrap, cooling bandana, neck cooler, neck coolers, cold neck wrap, gel wrap, neck coolers with gel, cooling scarfs, cooling tie, snap cooler, cooling tube, well I think you get the point. LOL so many names for this item

Been awhile since I blogged. The other day was thinking about making a new post.

What have I been up to lately, still working on my Etsy shops TimelessKreationsdez.etsy.com and Tkdz.etsy.com working on my heating pads, neck coolers, and of course the new editions, cork handbags and wallets.

But back to the story, I am making this blog post to get some fabric swatches out there to pick from

What exactly is a gel neck cooler?

They come in different shapes and sizes, but basically, it is a tubular shape, filled with non toxic polymer beads or crystals.

How do I use the gel neck cooler?

Once you get it, and decide to use it or reuse it from the last time it dried up, you will run some cold water and rinse it in water for 1-3 minutes to activate the cooling beads.

Once the beads are activated, you will soak them in water for 15-45 minutes, depending on the thickness or bulk desired.

If you would like it ice cold put it in a tub of ice, if you want to use it warm or hot, put it in a tub of warm or hot water, that is it, simple ability of use.

Do NOT freeze these or put them in the microwave.

The ties can mold or mildew if left in plastic bag for long periods of time.

Storing in the fridge in an open bowl is best.

Freezing them can cause the beads to disappear over time.

Wash with mild detergent by hand periodically to keep clean

TO STORE AFTER SUMMER:
lay flat and let completely dry. Takes anywhere from 7-21 days

You will enjoys these, I use mine often for migraine headache relief.

other great uses are for a wrist cooler, wrap around your wrist, use as a head band to keep your head cool.

Juki Du 1181N Timing and Tension Issues

Spent my Memorial Weekend maintenance my Zoe, that is her name. Very long day, looking and searching for the right videos to help me understand the bar notches. Then lining up everything just right with the hook assembly. I ran across many videos, a lot of education exploded my brain today. Sewing is a learning curve, maintenance the machine is just as important. It is not like you can ship a 100 pound cast iron head off to get repaired. All in the day of a designing sewer.

Timing and Hook assembly reference video from YouTube, very reliable, informative and full of detail. Shout out to the Cut Sew team for taking the time to inform others of this knowledgeable video on the timing and hook assembly for the Juki Du 1181N.

This is for the 8700, but same concept applies to the Juki Du 1181
